Data & Security
Your data stays yours.
NineReps was built in an active Power-conference football facility, which means we designed it around the questions athletic departments actually ask.
You own your data
Your players' practice data — every catch, every drop, every session — belongs to your program. We license you the software; you keep the data. If you ever leave, you take everything with you in a standard export.
Built for isolation
NineReps is multi-tenant with database-enforced row-level security. In plain terms: one program's data is walled off from every other program's data at the database level, not just in the app. We do not run cross-program analytics or benchmarking unless a school explicitly opts in.
On-premises when you need it
For programs whose policies require data to stay in-house, NineReps runs entirely on your own infrastructure. The application and database live on your servers, behind your firewall. We provide the software, monitoring, and support; your data never leaves your environment.
Performance data only
NineReps stores athletic performance data — throws, catches, drops, trends, attendance. We do not store, access, or touch academic records, medical information, or any other FERPA-relevant data.
No restricted league data
Some sports-tech tools depend on NCAA- or conference-licensed data feeds that come with heavy restrictions. NineReps does not. Our analytics are built on two things: the reps your sensors capture, and publicly licensed game statistics. That keeps your deployment simple and clean.
Student-athlete data, handled carefully
We know athlete data is sensitive, especially now. NineReps does not sell or commercialize identified student-athlete data, and player-level information never leaves your environment without your consent. As we add new capabilities, anything that would share player data beyond your program will require explicit athlete consent — by design.
The short version
You own your training data. It's isolated from every other program. You can run it entirely on your own infrastructure. We store athletic performance data only — never grades, medical, or academic records — and nothing about NineReps depends on restricted league data.
